For $15, you get $30 worth of custom framing, artwork, and more at Affordable Framing, with locations on Commercial Street Southeast and Lancaster Drive Northeast.
Affordable Framing's resumé of encapsulations features large-scale framing projects, residential fireplace fare, and unusual items, including a preserved king crab and a full-length professional baseball uniform. Affordable Framing stocks more than 60,000 feet of moulding, thousands of mat board sheets, and several tons of glass ready to anchor any nomadic object to a stylish new permanent home. Custom framing ranges from $20 to $300, with an average receipt of about $75. Premade frames stretching from 5"x7" to 24"x36" ($10–$50) immobilize images of children perpetually giving you the raspberries and silence boastful pro-athlete posters. Hundreds of prints and posters (which average $35) present pretty substitutes for artistic ability, fancy cameras, or enough plaster to cover your last food fight's banana-shaped casualties. About Affordable Framing
Six preserved tarantulas, a 6-foot puzzle of The Last Supper, and a full-length pro baseball uniform: Affordable Framing can—and has—framed them all. Since 1987, the McVey family has sought out dedicated staffers to help build custom frames from their inventory of more than 60,000 feet of moulding, thousands of sheets of matting, and tons of UV protective glass. They also inspire home decorators with preframed pieces and prints from local artists. Affordable Framing also has experience with corporate framing projects, including work for the Salem Hospital and the Oregon Military Department, in addition to numerous retirement facilities.
