we all loved the experience, but a lot of things went wrong during our visit. we visited the park on May-22 - the week before Memorial day and i checked their website to make sure we can do more than just drive-through. the website indicated that additional exhibitions such as kangaroo feeding, camel rides and rabbit race were open since May-12. however, upon arrival we were told "these are staffed activities and we dont have staff until Memorial weekend so come back next week if you want to do any of additional rides". pretty disappointing. lady at the counter told me my kids can still do the rabbit race, but it was locked. when i finally found park worker and asked to unlock the gates, he told me he wont do it cause they dont have enough staff to stand there and watch my kids run around with rabbits. i said the lady selling the tickets told me otherwise. he argued some more but eventually unlocked the gates for us to enjoy the rabbits for 5 minutes. drive-through was fun. although there were some very scary moments when animals almost broke my side mirrors and wouldnt move away from in front of the car. still, we had fun. my car was a mess after a drive-through - too bad they dont have a car wash nearby or at least a hose. and i wish someone would tell us giraffes like lettuce so save it for them and feed alpakas and lamas the grains. and beware of the deer!!! those the up in your face grabbing cups from inside the car and sneezing all over you. i would never agree to pay their asking price for what we got out of it. glad i had a groupon with a discount but still - it was overpriced for as little entertainment that was available at the time of our visit despite what the website advertised.

Hi Olga, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that your experience at African Safari was not completely satisfactory. The day of your visit, Tuesday, May 22nd, is considered part of our Spring Season. Our Activities and the Walk-Thru are available during the Summer Season and on our Extended Weekends. During the Spring/Fall Seasons (except for on our Extended Weekends), the Activities in the Walk-Thru are not available. When our website said the additional Activities were open beginning May 12, it was referring to May 12 &13, and May 19 & 20, which are our Extended Weekends when Activities are available even though it was not yet the Summer Season (Summer Season began Friday, May 25). We are sorry for any confusion this caused. We do apologize for any impolite interactions you had with our Staff - we work daily with all Staff to ensure we are providing excellent customer service to each and every Guest. We do offer various forms of discounts on individual admissions as well as Carload Coupons on our website, and occasionally on our Facebook page. We would like to make this right with you, please contact us at
