What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My name is Phil Dunlap, and I am a lifelong martial artist being raised in the Kachin style of Burmese martial arts. I have fought in Burmese boxing, muay thai, MMA, and submission grappling. I ran a large school in NJ prior to moving to Las Vegas and started the Asylum out here to pass on what I know.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people to achieve their personal goals. Watching people struggle to learn something and seeing the light bulb go off as the grasp and do it…combined with seeing people grow as human beings and accomplish things the didn’t think they could do is an incredible reward.
