This is one of the most unusual and interesting museums I have ever been to. I would go back again and have recommended it to many people. I wish I lived in Toronto so I could go more often. Their installations and exhibits are fascinating.

Part of the museum was not available because they were setting up a new exhibition. Otherwise is was great. Will go back when the Garden is open in the summer.

About Aga Khan Museum

The Aga Khan Museum is the first museum in North America dedicated to the arts of Muslim civilizations, with a Permanent Collection of more than 1,000 artifacts dating as far back as the 8th century. The Museum is home to an ever-changing roster of exhibitions and educational programming, including music and dance performances, special lectures, and hands-on workshops.

This offer grants visitors access the Aga Khan Museum’s Permanent Collection, along with the Museum’s special exhibitions. Be among the first to see: Locating Contemporary Canadian Artists, opening July 22. Experience Museum-wide installations of video, textiles, painting, and sculpture that convey the diversity of more than 20 Canadian artists.

Until August 13, visitors can also look, listen, and engage with the exhibition Syrian Symphony: New Compositions in Sight and Sound. This exhibition offers an immersive and interactive response from artists to the current situation in Syria. Orchestrating music, painting, and media arts into a multi-sensory experience, Syrian Symphony offers new insights into the power of the arts in times of conflict.
