Glass artist Agnes Sanchez leads nascent glass blowers through each hands-on session, which yields a sculpture in the student's choice of color. Students should arrive dressed in protective clothing, including shirts with long sleeves, jeans past the knees, closed-toe shoes, and sunglasses. Finished pieces may be picked up by students no later than 30 days after class.

Agnes of Glass

For more than 20 years, glass artist Agnes Sanchez has been breathing life into molten mounds, crafting delicate works of art that evoke the elements of the earth. Long-necked vases in glittering hues abut delicate ornaments at Agnes’s studio and gallery, Agnes of Glass, where the internationally trained artist exercises her technique and leads glass-blowing workshops. During the hands-on sessions, students and large-lunged wolves looking for a creative outlet exhale their way to completion of a decorative project.

I took my two goddaughters (ages 29 and 32) to make a shot glass for their Christmas "experience" gift. We all had a really fun time, the shot glasses have been put to good use and Agnes is an amazing teacher…something unique and fun to do!!!
