I was wanting to know if these were actual classes to go towards getting a pilot license if someone was interested. Also what are the actual requirements to get your pilot license to get a job flying? What are the hours that you a can use this? Is Sat's available?

Hi Diana and thanks for your questions! This package is designed for people who want to pursue REAL flight training. In fact, the components of the package are the exact same things that our students use as they work to earn their Sport or Private pilot licenses. Learn more about earning your Sport or Private pilot license here: http://www.airassociatesmo.com/licenses/ The package is great for someone wanting to begin training to earn their Sport or Private pilot license. This person may simply wish to fly for pleasure, or they may intend to pursue additional certifications to prepare for a career in aviation. (Multi-engine and Commercial licenses are two examples of advanced certifications. To further discuss career planning, please give us a call and ask to speak to the Chief Flight Instructor.) The package is also great for someone who completed some flight training many years ago and wants to recommit to earning their license. More information about the package’s components: Private Pilot 101 is a topic-based classroom experience. Your Groupon package includes five classes and you are welcome to purchase additional classes later if you wish. The information covered in our Private Pilot 101 classes is directly applicable to learning to fly and includes topics such as aerodynamics, weather and navigation. It is NOT necessary to complete your Private Pilot 101 classes before taking your first flight. We actually encourage our students to begin their hands-on learning as soon as possible! The Cessna web-based instruction kit is a comprehensive self-study tool that can be previewed for free at www.cessnaflighttraining.com. Although you can purchase this kit from us separately, buying the Groupon package allows you to get the $349 kit for only $175! Learn more about the kit here: http://www.airassociatesmo.com/flight-school/training-packages/computer-based-instruction/ Our hours are 7am to 7pm and we are open 7 days a week. You are welcome to schedule your two flight and two simulator lessons on Saturdays. Please be aware that Saturday is our most popular training day and often requires scheduling about two weeks in advance. Diana, please feel free to give us a call with additional questions at (636) 536-1341. For more information, you may also visit our website at www.airassociatesmo.com and join our Facebook community at www.facebook.com/airassociatesmo.
