From its waterfront perch on the Embarcadero in Oakland, Ajuzoun serves up an inventive blend of American and Japanese cuisines. Stateside influences primarily take the shape of USDA Prime steaks such as the 8-ounce filet mignon, the 12-ounce ribeye, and the 28-ounce "Tomahawk," served with the entire rib bone protruding for easy handling and warding off any bite-sneakers. In fact, such eye-dazzling presentations are found throughout the menu. Specialty sushi rolls such as the Laputa, Prawn Mango, Big Spicy Crunchy, and Polynesian dazzle the eyes and the taste buds. And for dessert, deep-fried tempura ice cream puts an exclamation point on the multisensory dining experience.
