Efficient and clean- love my nails!

I made an appointment for 4:30 and got here at 4:35 to find that there were only two employees and they were both busy working on other people. I waited until 4:57 for one of the workers to come get me and finally at 5pm they started my pedicure. I immediately noticed how awkward the seating was - the foot baths were lined up on a thin edge that could easily have been knocked over. I sit down and after some time, I noticed there were little black flies crawling around - one on my hand and the other on the table I was getting my nails done at. That was bad enough without the worker struggling to complete my manicure. Before he started he told me that he would put the top coat on my toes later, once it’s a bit more dry. Understandable, but he had taken an hour and half to give me a new set but it surely would’ve been faster if he didn’t keep stopping to handle other clients. At one point he literally stood around as a customer was talking about how much she loved her nails- done by a different worker entirely. And a separate time, he was just looking at his phone while I waited for him to finish my nails. Then when the time came to do a design, he was struggling to remove the stickers from the sheet and I had to pick a different design (two separate times) which was not all that bad until he was finished. I received no cuticle trim, no hand massage or lotion, and no hot towel and I had to ask him to file out the rough edges of my nails. I finally thought I was finished (after two full hours) and he told me that it was time to put the top coat on his toes. As he’s doing it, he asks me if I want to add quick dry for $2 more. Just to clarify, my nails were started 30 minutes later, with multiple pauses and delays and now you want me to pay more to be finished sooner? I asked why he couldn’t have done that before or while my nails are being done and he gave me some bs excuse about it scratching the paint if it was applied too soon. Like wtf? At this point I was so fed up , I didn’t care anymore. And to top it all off, I get to my car and noticed that 3 of my nails were set with fibers/hairs on them - making them rough along the surface. This was honestly such a bad experience I would never return or recommend this place to anyone. This truly has me afraid to use Groupon again because this was such a poor experience, it makes me wonder if every business that uses Groupon will have such poor service. Being short staffed is one thing, but practicing poor customer service and etiquette is another issue that is entirely within your control. My advice is, Don’t book appointments on days and times you know you won’t have enough employees and don’t offer Groupons if you’re going to hold it against your customer.
