$21 for a sushi dinner for two ($35.50 value)
- One sushi roll

The salvaged wood accents aren't the only upgrades at Akemi, a revamped version of former sushi spot Miyuki. The chefs have expanded the menu from just sushi to include an assortment of organic small plates. See, for example, the buta abara, a dish of momiji-braised spare ribs with osho-kuromitsu glaze; or the pork-belly ramen with shoyu egg and kikurage wood-ear mushrooms. Akemi's drink menu includes Japanese beers and sakes that are perfect for making a toast to the food, the company, and your eloquently stated toast.
