About Alaskan Inn
hough it rests amid the pine trees of Utah's Ogden Canyon, Alaskan Inn draws inspiration from the tundra and snow-capped peaks located even further north. The inn's 23 suites and cabins feature arctic-themed décor, such as all-white canopy beds, shimmering satin sheets, and drifting ice floes. Some rooms take the motif even farther: In the Northern Lights suite, a light show replicates the dancing glow of the Aurora Borealis, and the Bears Den suite creates a cave-like atmosphere with stuffed black bears and a waterfall. The 11 cabins, which sit separate from the main log lodge, are more modestly decorated, though each boasts a private shower. All rooms come with jetted jacuzzi tubs and big-screen TVs.
Breakfast, included with every stay, is made hot and à la carte with a choice of entree and two sides. Alaskan Inn also provides complimentary spiced sparkling cider and fresh-baked cookies as a snack for guests and an off-duty Santa Claus.
As Alaskan Inn lies only 15 minutes from downtown Ogden, guests can easily travel to the town’s numerous restaurants and shops. The inn’s close proximity to the Ogden River in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest also makes it a hub for outdoor fun, with easy access to hiking trails.
