What You'll Get
A night out fosters lifelong memories while giving houses the chance to molt in private. Leave your domicile to its own devices with today's Groupon: for $20, you get one ticket to the Best of the City event on Friday, December 2, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque, hosted by Albuquerque The Magazine (a $40 value).
Best of the City beckons visitors to meet and sample products from restaurants and businesses voted best in their category by the readers of Albuquerque The Magazine. The event commences at 6 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque, as a plethora of food and merchandise sprinkles the showroom floor in creations from businesses such as Azuma Sushi & Teppan and Suits Unlimited. Guests nibble cuisine from winners in categories such as Best Pizza and Best Sushi, or sign up for a class with the winner of Best Yoga so they can tie themselves into festive bows for the holidays. Feet navigate their owners around booths to meet the musicians deemed worthy of the Best Local Jazz title before tapping their toes when they meet the winner of Best Place to Dance. After refueling stomachs with all the event's edible samples, visitors can challenge friends or trailing body doubles to a monologue-off with the Best Local Theatre Troupe. Proceeds from the event benefit Roadrunner Child Development, a non-profit corporation providing preschool and child-care services to economically challenged neighborhoods.
