What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Aloha Beauty Boutique offers Full Body Sugaring, Waxing and the Yumi Keratin Lash Lift & Tint. My business stands out from the competition in that I have many years of experience from working at successful establishments in Los Angeles, Orange County, Maui, and Chicago. Additionally, I am a certified U.S. Educator for Tamara’s Professional Body Sugaring, so not only do I sugar clients, I also train professionals the Ancient Art of Sugaring!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My heart will always have the warmest place for Hawaii, as my son, Keanu, was born on the island of Maui where we lived for four years. The aloha spirit was something that always stuck with me and I wanted to bring that loving energy with me into a boutique salon. My Hawaiian and pineapple themed salon suite is somewhere clients can escape from the worries of their day and unwind while I do their services.
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love connecting with real people and becoming not only their Esthetician but their friend and confidante. To this day, I have clients from the other three states I lived and worked in that I keep in contact with and that I still consider good friends!
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
I have had the BEST clients throughout the years! There has been laughter, joy, blood, sweat and tears that have come with being an Esthetician, but I would have to say the best reaction I’ve received from clients have been to tell me that they’re flying in from another state and coming to visit me for services. Over the years, I’ve had previous clients who will make the time to come see me and get sugared at my new salon while they’re on vacation or on a work trip from out of state! To me, that’s one of the biggest compliments I could receive!
