Alon David Photography
As the lead designer for a large contractor, Alon David frequently contacted photographers to snap photos of his team’s work. However, his aesthetic preferences rarely matched up with the photographer’s, so he began to do the job himself. After the hobby blossomed into a passion, Alon decided to open his own photography studio.
Since then, he’s brought his keen eye for design to his primarily outdoor photo shoots with kids, couples, and families. He often experiments with camera angles, snagging eye-level shots of toddlers to view the world from their point of view, or snapping overhead pictures of his young subjects to capture their innocence and curiosity. He likes to tinker with the focus, too, shifting between large and shallow depths of fields to focus on one subject and make the other blurrier than a cheetah in a sports car. The resulting black-and-white, sepia, or color photos are always carefully framed around the location, such as the beaches of Mission Bay or the large exposed roots of a Moreton Bay fig tree at Balboa Park.
