Choose from Three Options
- $28 for a four-hour ring making workshop for one person ($50 value)
- $52 for a four-hour ring making workshop for two people ($100 value)
- $79 for a five-week beginning jewelry-making course, with one three-hour class per week ($150 value)
In the four-hour workshop, an instructor guides students through the hand-making of a sterling-silver band ring. The process introduces basic techniques including sawing, soldering, forming, finishing, and stone setting. Students then can choose from an in-house collection of gemstones to add a splash of color.
Those who enroll in the five-week class will receive instruction on making a sterling silver or copper roller printed cuff bracelet. The finished products will feature a sterling silver or copper roller printed cuff bracelet with a hand-made bezel setting and a wide band ring made of sterling silver with a roller printed accent band.
All tools are provided; materials are not included and will cost approximately $20-$55 depending on which metals and jewels are chosen.
Amalgam Arts Atlanta
In chemistry, an amalgam is an alloy of two metals. As such, Amalgam Arts Atlanta celebrates handmade metal jewelry in more ways than one. Equal parts gallery, studio, and school, the studio guides students through the finer points of making bangles and baubles, rings, pendants, and other pieces of eye-catching jewelry. Workshops and classes give participants a taste of the trade, letting them saw metals, solder pieces, and gnaw on gold to make sure it's real.
