Q:

do you accept vsp? if so, if i bought this groupon could i use it in addition to my insurance?

ALEXIS G.  asked on  Jul 27, 2012

A:

Thank you but we do not accept VSP insurance but what we do is give you an invoice for the full amount and you send it in and they will reimburse you for your total cost. We have had many other patients the have had VSP insurance and they have told me that they were reimbursed for there purchase.

Q:

This statement confused me - "$39 for an Eye Exam and $200 Toward a Complete Pair of Prescription Eyeglasses at Amalgamated Eyes in Union ($275 Value)". If I add the two amounts ($39 + $200) then it comes to only $239 and not $275 as mentioned by Groupon. My understanding is that I would be paying only $39 for my eye checkup and prescription glasses. Is there any other expense that I would be incurring besides $39?

Anumeha S.  asked on  Jul 26, 2012

A:

Hi Anumeha
I'm sorry for any confusion. For $39 you will get: an eye exam and $200 towards a complete pair of prescription eyeglasses. If the total price of your chosen eye glasses are more than $200, you would be responsible for the difference. I hope that helps!

Q:

Is it possible to use the groupon for an eye exam and just the lenses, since I already have a frames?

Margaret G.  asked on  Jul 23, 2012

A:

No the way the Groupon works is that you get the eye exam and the $200.00 is to be used on a complete pair of glasses which is the frame and lens. You can bring the frame that you have and we could put lens in the frame that you have so either have (2) pairs of prescription glasses or maybe one of them will be regular glasses and one of them s For sunglasses.

Q:

can I use the $200 towards transition lens?

Cynthia K.  asked on  Jul 23, 2012

A:

Yes the $200.00 goes toward a complete pair of prescription glasses frame and lens. You pick the frame and the lens and we total that and then deduct $200.00 from the total and pay what ever the balance is.

Q:

Can the GroupOn be applied towards prescription eyeglasses OR sunglasses? Also, are there any other anticipated costs that the patient would have to cover outside of the GroupOn fee itself?

Payal S.  asked on  Jul 23, 2012

A:

The Groupon is for a comprehensive eye exam and also gives you $200.00 to go toward the purchase of either a complete pair of glasses. The prescription glasses can be either optical or sun glasses. Until the doctor examination is complete and we find out what type of lens that you will need it is hard to say what your final total will be. We add the total of the frame and the lenes and then deduct $200.00. I hope this will help you but if you need additional answers you can either ask them here or call our office at (908)687-3937. Thank you and hope to see you in our office
