Q:

I'm an adult player and already know ten basic chords and a couple strums. I can read music but not on guitar. What could you offer me with this Groupon offer.

Annette R.  asked on  Oct 7, 2012

A:

Hi Annette! Your guitar coach will take everything you already know into account and help you to move towards your goals from there, whatever they might be. The American Guitar Academy Method is designed to help you reach your goals from any starting point. Your coach will give you a quick test to find out what you know, then will want to know what your next most exciting goal might be and then begin helping you get there. Have fun!

Q:

2 questions. When you say this is a private lesson, is it 1 on 1? And if that is the case, my 15 year old daughter has been playing for about a year and is not necessarily a beginner but is still fairly raw. So will the instructor be able to teach from her level?

Douglas A.  asked on  Oct 6, 2012

A:

Yes the lessons are 1 on 1. Your daughter's guitar coach will be able to quickly assess what she's already mastered and then help her move forward from there.

Q:

When it says the lesson may be online does that mean all four lessons might not be with a person?

Sue C.  asked on  Oct 6, 2012

A:

No it means you have the option to choose taking your lessons online with a live person in real time over Skype if you'd rather do that than go to one of our studios. Some people prefer the online option because there is no travel time and they can have their lessons anywhere they take their computer.

Q:

I have no musical background whatsoever and an 65. Any hope that I can learn guitar? Thanx.

LYNDEE C.  asked on  Oct 6, 2012

A:

Hi Lyndee! No musical background is fine. Our method is designed to help anyone learn easily whether you've had any musical training in the past or not. Have fun!
