Q:

Hi there, are the pills typically covered by insurance? If needed what is the cost of them typically? Overall, maybe a weeks worth.

Janisia  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Typically, insurance companies don't cover medications or programs for weight loss. I'm not sure what the going retail rate is for these medications. Our charge for the medications is covered under the cost of the program.

Q:

What are the names of the pills that are provided? I do need to lose weight. Thank you.

Julie C.  asked on  Feb 24, 2013

A:

Hi Julie, We primarily use phentermine, but we also have phendimetrazine and diethylproprion. If you have used any of the stimulant appetite suppressants before, you may have developed tolerance. In which case, we might add supplemental medications like topiramate to boost the effectiveness of the appetite suppressant. This would, of course, all require evaluation by our medical staff to see if you are appropriate for such treatment. Thank you for your question.
