It's like walking through the history of the United States through writing. The hall that displays of writers has some very interesting facts and summaries about all sorts of authors, writers, and essayists. My favorite part was being able to use a typewiter to write whatever I wanted. It's a place worth checking out and leaves you thinking there's so much more out there to read and say.

What a wonderful experience! We could have spent all day reading each and every factoid and piece of literature the museum had to offer. Inspired both of us to go home and work on our own writing.

Loved the multi-media presentations...it would be easy to spend several hours. The video interviews of various refugee/immigrant writers was very thought-provoking. Using the typewriter (after 40 years away from it) reminded me of how much I love that feel of the keys. Making your own bookmark of favorite books was a nice treat. ENJOY!
