Like a savings account or any dog named Clifford, Amore Pizza has only kept growing over the years. It started as a small pizza trailer during the summer of 2013, then converted to a much larger pizza truck in 2014. Finally, in 2015, Amore opened its first brick-and-mortar location on Sante Fe Drive, where it dishes out New York-style pizza by the slice.
Such continual growth is no coincidence, though: Amore's chefs make the dough fresh every day, and the tomatoes they use for the sauce are imported from Italy's San Marzano Valley. The menu features all the staples, including cheese, pepperoni, and sausage, as well as various specialties, such as the ham-, bacon-, and pineapple-loaded Long Island. Amore still doles out slices from its pizza truck, too, and weekend revelers can find it every Friday and Saturday night at 20th and Market Street.
