Like Olympic swimmers and gremlins, tea leaves only reveal their true power after being dunked in water. Unleash hidden strength with today’s Groupon to Ana Beall’s Tea Room in Westfield. Choose between the following options:

A 2010 and 2011 OpenTable Diners’ Choice Winner featured in the New York Times, Ana Beall’s Tea Room serves up steamy brews and bite-size scones in a two-story Victorian house furnished with lush oriental rugs. The three-course afternoon tea for two furnishes chin-waggers with two freshly steeped pots chosen from approximately 60 types of teas and herbal infusions, including classics such as earl grey and rarefied specialties such as the Pu-erh Beeng Cha. Pairs of Victorian sophisticates or tea-party-obsessed kindergarteners can ponder the white rabbit’s whereabouts while munching on a duo of scones and nibbling on plates of tiny sandwiches and bite-size desserts. Alternately, the high tea for two complements the array of treats with a choice of two salads or soups to fuel grueling marathons of pinky-finger lifting.

Though not included in today’s Groupon, the elegant tea room is also a full-service restaurant, serving a seasonal brunch and supper selection on Friday evenings and weekends. Patrons can sip and dine in the genteel yet casual first-floor café or venture into the formal dining rooms upstairs, where a small gift shop purveys fine teas and tea accessories.

The tea room is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and major holidays.
