Make-up application isn’t something you can fake with sleight of hand and brilliant firework displays. With today's Groupon, $29 gets you a professional make-up application at Andre Richard Salon, a $75 value.
Looking naturally gorgeous doesn’t always come naturally, unless you're a snow leopard or the earliest hint of autumn. Eyelash curlers can be perplexing contraptions, and it’s always a struggle to stay between the lines with lip pencils. With this deal, you can sit back and relax—the Mac-trained cosmetic artists at Andre Richard will convert your complexion into a make-up masterpiece. Using high-pigment, mineral-based products from gloMinerals, you’ll get professionally glossed, painted, and polished to perfection.
Beauty products don’t come with instructions. Observing the cosmetic guru’s transformative touch will help take the mystery out of your make-up, so you'll be able to achieve a more natural look on your own. You’ll also be able to get answers to any plaguing beauty question during your one-on-one session.
If you’ve got a stressful occasion coming up—big date, televised apology, wedding—having someone else do your make-up means one less thing to worry about. Or you could explore the transformative power of beauty by bringing in a photo of your favorite actress, model, or Roman dictator. This Groupon is also a great way to suggest a makeover to a sea-foam-eye-shadowed co-worker or magenta-blush-splattered cousin, and it makes a fantastic gift for the bridesmaids, younger sisters, and relocated witnesses in your life.

Andre Richard Salon won Best Hair Salon in Philadelphia and has five-star reviews on both Yelp and Citysearch
- Andre is the best! I went to him when he was still at Bubbles Salon, and have never been disappointed. – ss578, Citysearch
- I walked in for my appointment and I didn't have to wait at all. Andre greeted me, and we began talking about what I wanted done. (There were Broadway show tunes playing in the background, which was awesome.) – citylinguist, Citysearch
- Andre is so much fun, too! Really loves his job, and gets downright giddy over hair products and makeup. Ask him about Glo Minerals, and he'll sell you on them in 2.2 seconds! – Candice B., Yelp
You Can’t Make It Up.
Make-up was invented, quite accidentally, in the Middle Ages by a humble mixer of paints, or “huesmith,” when his last palette was accidentally crushed under the wheel of a passing plague-cart. With no surface on which to prepare his pigments, he turned to the face of his 19-year-old daughter, Marcy, and the unexpected beauty they produced resulted in more than 28 marriage proposals before lunch. By the end of the day, Marcy was made queen, and thoroughly unprepared for such responsibility, initiated a bloody conquest of the known world.
This is beside the point, however, as make-up has done far more good for society, allowing clowns to entertain, brides to accentuate their blushing, and teenage would-be vampires to pursue their darkened dreams. Today, make-up is made primarily of cruelty-free soy whales, and although delicious, should never be consumed sober.
