Although the weather was cold and wet from rain, the tour was very informative and exciting. The tram driver, Robert, allowed us to get off of the tram in order to take pictures, and Robert even took pictures of us as well. We had a great outing.

The tour guide was very friendly and informative--shared many good stories and history about the island. My only disappointment is that there are not enough options if one wants to do both the tour and hike the mountain (we wanted to do both, but there was insufficient time to do so based on the limited tour schedule). All-in-all still very worth the time and $$!

It's the best way to take advantage of all the 360 degree views of the bay and the bridges, plus many stops with photo ops. Best way to enjoy what would have been a hot day elsewhere!

About Angel Island Company

Enhancing the opportunities for adventure and views on its namesake state park, Angel Island Company curates a host of activities and tours, and offers noshes at its café and oyster bar. Listed as a National Historic Landmark and on the National Registry of Historic Places, the island features miles of hiking trails and panoramic views of the Bay Area from its highest point at the summit of Mt. Livermore. Tram tours journey across the scenic terrain, stopping at historic and picturesque sites, including the US Immigration Station, which served as a passageway to America for hundreds of thousands of immigrants from 1910 to 1940. Bike rentals allow self-guided exploration of the five-mile perimeter road, and two-hour guided tours via Segway give visitors a more in-depth perspective of the area. During summer weekend afternoons, local artists fill the air with free live music, and Hog Island Oysters are served on the half shell through October.
