Famed for its warm and interactive stage-free musical experience, Le Salon de Musiques features chamber music in an intimate environment -- the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This concert pays homage to four genius Russian masters -- Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Shostakovich -- with a program of exquisite works for strings, voice and piano. Hear them played by the talented Pacific Trio consisting of Roger Wilkie on violin, John Walz on cello and Edith Orloff on piano. They'll be joined by soprano So Young Park and pianist Francois Chouchan. Le Salon de Musiques's musicologist, Kristi Brown-Montesano, will be on hand to introduce and give context to the works, and after the performance, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A, as well as a reception featuring Champagne and a gourmet high-tea buffet catered by Patina.
