Famed for its warm and interactive stage-free musical experience, Le Salon de Musiques features chamber music in an intimate environment -- the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This concert pays homage to three compositional masters -- L.V. Beethoven, Gabriel Fauré and Henriette Bosmans -- with a program of exquisite works for cello and piano. Hear them played by a talented duo consisting of John Walz -- principal cellist with the Los Angeles Opera -- and Steven Vanhauwaert, a pianist who has played with numerous prestigious orchestras on several continents. Le Salon de Musiques's musicologist, Kristi Brown-Montesano, will be on hand to introduce and give context to the works, and after the performance, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A, as well as a reception featuring Champagne and a gourmet high-tea buffet catered by Patina.
