You can't miss Angelo's Pizza. Walk down Broadway between 53rd and 54th, and keep your eyes peeled for Stephen Colbert—or at least a sign with his name on it. That's because the pizzeria sits immediately below The Late Show marquee, and it was there when David Letterman sat the late night throne. But as far back as this restaurant goes, the pizza goes back farther. Angelo himself brought this recipe when he immigrated to New York in the 1930s, and today it's his children and nephews who continue the tradition of crispy blackened crust, fresh mozzarella, and ripe and juicy tomatoes.
