The Issue: Difficult Transition for Cats Abandoned Outdoors
Occasionally when pet owners move to a new place, they abandon their special-needs or elderly cats outside to fend for themselves. When these felines are rescued from the streets, they often have a difficult time transitioning back to indoor living and only feel comfortable outdoors.
The Campaign: Building an Indoor/Outdoor Enclosure for Cats
If 50 people donate $10, then Animal Adoption Network, Inc. can fund fencing and cat-specific plants for an outdoor enclosure for rescued cats. If it raises $3,500, the organization can fund and build the entire outdoor habitat. Within the enclosure, cats will be able to move between the inside and outside area at will, providing them with a safe and comfortable environment as they slowly transition back to indoor living.
