Is this a year round shopping venue or summers only? If limited in winter months, what are the limitations? In terms of quantity, what is the usual or expected quantity per a family size? How is quantity decided? I ran a co-op similar to this in OKC about 30 years ago and providing enough of each item was always a challenge.

We operate year round so there are no limitations in the winter other than what is in season around the country. We like to get produce from local vendors and farms whenever we can, but we also order items from a wonderful organic distributor in Denver and yes, the products we get are certified organic. The Oklahoma growing season is only about four months long and we operate year round. Besides, we like to eat things that don’t grow in Oklahoma like pineapples! We are often asked “How many people will a bag feed?” Our bags are designed to feed one person generously or two people adequately. Our suggestion is to try one of our bags and see how it works for you in your household. It’s really impossible to say for sure since we all have different eating habits. Our weekly Fruit & Veggie bag and Meat & Stuff bag are always $35 and so our quantity is set to that price. We generally have 8 items in the produce bag and six in the protein bag.
