If you've ever set foot in Colombia, a meal at Antojitos Colombianos might trigger some serious nostalgia.

"When you are at “Antojitos Colombianos” you feel like you have been transported to Colombia," wrote one San Diego Free Press contributor.

All of the authenticity is thanks to owner and chef Javier Rodriguez, who came to San Diego from Colombia decades ago, yet continues to prepare authentic specialties such as empanadas, fried-cheese bunuelos, and lengua in salsa, which San Diego Reader described as "a beautifully moist slice of fork-tender beef tongue, cooked to perfection and topped with a tangy salsa." These dishes are bound to resonate with Colombian transplants and world travelers, but even diners unfamiliar with the country's cuisine find themselves salivating over specialties such as bandeja paisa with corn cakes, Colombian sausage, and fried pork rind.
