Q:

I use just under a 15000 sq ft. bag of fertilizer when I fertilize. What program will this qualify for?

Jim  asked on  Sep 14, 2012

A:

Since you are over the 1/4 acre at 10,890 Sq. Ft. you would need to purchase the 1/2 acre groupon.

Q:

Sure we can't convince you to add Greenville? We are just off of Highway 15 and Highway 76. Looking at the map we are closer to Appleton than Neenah.

Tom G.  asked on  Sep 11, 2012

A:

I am sorry but we cannot as our insurance only covers us for x many miles of coverage and as of today Greenville is not cover by us to do. We can only service Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Grand Chute, Kaukauna, Combined Locks, Sherwood, Little Chute, and Kimberly.

Q:

How often should I have my lawn aerated? I had one lawncare individual tell me it would not help since my yard is pretty shady, any truth to that?

Denise S.  asked on  Sep 10, 2012

A:

Everybody including shady yard benefits from core aeration. Aerating your lawn is a great way to reduce thatch, loosen up compacted soils and make it easier for water, nutrients, and fertilizers to reach the roots of your turf. Even with the best care available, lawns can thin out and lose color due to thatch build-up, foot traffic, pet traffic, or periods of high temperature, high humidity, or drought creating hard or compacted soils.

Q:

When is the best time of year to have your lawn aerated? Since this expires in March of 2013, I thought the best time to do this is Spring?

Mike M.  asked on  Sep 10, 2012

A:

Core aeration is better in the fall only if you plan to overseed your lawn. We recommend core aeration to be done twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall.

Mark P.  from  Merchant  replied on  Sep 10, 2012

A:

Even though the groupon expires March 2013 you can still use this groupon for spring 2013 as long as you schedule it before it expires. That is our policy here at Appleton Lawn Care Services.
