Q:

I have my open water diver card. Anyway I can use this Groupon towards getting my Advanced Open Water Diver ?

Marc L.  asked on  Jan 21, 2013

A:

Unfortunately, the groupon is only good for the option purchased. We do offer an advanced class with a number of options to complete the required dives. Why not stop by our shop to find out about the class and the opportunities to complete the dives.

Q:

What are the additional costs for the full certification course when the dives are done in PA? If the dives are done in NJ are there boat and/or instructor fees? Other than the $36 per day facility fees, what other costs are involved if the program is done in NJ? What would be the total cost for two people to do the full certification course and dives in PA? Thanks you Lee Ruslander

S. L.  asked on  Jan 20, 2013

A:

Of the two days of certication dives, the first is done at a facility in Pa. The entrance fee is $36. We offer the option of diving off the coast of NJ for the second day. The only additional cost is the fee to get on the boat. The full certification option includes rentals and instructor fees for two days of diving. Each student needs their personal mask, snorkel, fins and booties. We offer a 10% student discount on the purchase of these items and stand behind our products. Feel free to call us with any questions you may have. We are a full service dive shop.

Q:

What is the difference between the two courses, full basic scuba-certification course and basic scuba-precertification class? I would like to possibly take all of the course work with you and then certify in St John. Which course is recommended?

Jon H.  asked on  Jan 20, 2013

A:

Hi Jon The full certication course includes text, classroom, pool training and the two days of diving (including rentals and instructor fees) to complete the certification dives. These dives are completed locally. (Does not include entrance to the dive location) The precertification course includes text, classroom, pool training. You are then able to complete your dives when you go away to St. John.
