What You'll Get
Today's Groupon gets you in shape for shark-fighting season. For $59, you get four weeks at Aquatic Boot Camp—that's up to 12 classes in which you will likely learn to breathe underwater or, at a minimum, above water (a $150 value).
Instructor and former U.S. Army deep-sea diver Justin Bradshaw ups the fitness ante by adding a new element to the traditional body-blasting boot camp regimen: water. A typical session involves such easy-on-the-joints, hard-on-the-muscles exercises as pool sprints, weighted water treading, poolside exercises, swimming with fins, and brick diving. Justin will put you through the paces that helped him train to weld underwater, build things underwater, defuse underwater mines underwater, and more; expect to burn anywhere from 500 to 1,200 calories a session.
Aquatic Boot Camp is designed to push you to your physical maximum, but Justin also understands that everyone's maximum is different. You won't need to be a gill-augmented Navy SEAL to win the coveted Deep Sea Diver Award for your class; all you'll need is motivation, dedication, an iron will, goggles or a mask, swimming attire, a workout mat (optional), and a pair of swim fins (required).
This Groupon is good at Aquatic Boot Camp's Southlake and Dallas locations; click here to see a map and schedule for each location. New sessions begin November 3 in Southlake and November 9 in Dallas.
America’s Greatest Underwater Threats
Today’s Aquatic Boot Camp will get you in top shape to face the world’s greatest aquatic threats. Here are humanity’s deadliest underwater enemies and how to defeat them:
Why They Hate Us: Sharks hate freedom.
How to Defeat: Punch the shark in the nose, then shoot it with the closest firearm. Say something witty afterward, like, “Shark on this.”
Why They Hate Us: Killer whales are misnamed because they have no desire to kill humans; instead, they prefer to maim us and keep us alive as prisoners in their underwater bubble-cities. They also hate freedom.
How to Defeat: Until the prices on underwater flame throwers come down to consumer levels, the surest way to defeat a killer whale is to challenge it to a duel, which, by their culture, they cannot turn down.
Why They Hate Us: Made jealous by our legs, our oxygenated air, and our many freedoms.
How to Defeat: Do not engage a merman in a contest of strength; instead, make fun of its lack of education.

About SGT. H20's CombatSwim
Trainer and fitness guru Justin Bradshaw modeled SGT. H20's CombatSwim after the rigorous training he received as an Army diver. His challenging exercises encourage full-body fitness, using workouts that build stamina, boost metabolism, improve swimming skills, and promote weight loss. Incorporating the best of land-based cross-training systems, CombatSwim includes plenty of high-intensity interval training and pulse-hiking calisthenics. In the pool, water adds extra resistance that amplifies the effects of the exercises, which include swimming sprints, endurance swimming, and treading water with weights. Designed to sharpen the mind as well as the body, CombatSwim leaves exercisers with the same confidence and conditioning as some of the world's elite military warriors.
