- $184 for an open-water scuba-certification course with gear rental (a $399 value)
In a classroom setting, aspiring scuba divers digest the theory and techniques behind open-water scuba diving, preparing them to practice learned concepts in pool sessions and five open water dives, which can be completed in two days. Classroom instruction, pool sessions, and open water lessons can take up to 32 hours spread over a one- to eight-week period of weekday evenings and weekends. Exact days and times will depend on student load, availability, and weather. Students can use the shop’s rental scuba equipment (including mask, fins and snorkels) or bring their own (must meet industry standards).
A full service dive shop, Aquatic Ventures equips snorkelers and scuba divers with the gear, tanks, and instruction necessary to breathe underwater. Owner and dive instructor Gary Beiter has more than 40 years of teaching experience and draws upon that know-how during every lesson.
