What You'll Get
Glass can be exquisite in its myriad forms, from the ornate windows of a Gothic cathedral to the crystalline webbing of a freshly vandalized windshield. Reflect on beauty with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $49 for an introductory glass-fusing class (a $109 value)
- $49 for a glass-box-making class (a $99 value)

During three-hour intro glass-fusing classes, instructors introduce students to glass-working processes, including establishing compatibility, fusing temperatures, and cutting techniques. Students learn as they complete two full-fused and two tack-fused pendants, as well as a 4”x”4 bowl and 5”x8” tray. Alternatively, the two-hour glass-box-making class teaches participants how to prime molds, create frit mixtures, and fill their molds as they cast a round or heart-shaped box. Neither class requires previous knowledge or experience, and graduates can return for more work any time during the shop’s open studio hours.

About Aquila Glass School
Breaking with the no-nonsense vibe of the shop’s warehouse exterior, Aquila Glass School’s brightly painted loading-dock door hints at the vibrant creativity that waits inside. The full-time working studio simmers with nine kilns as students create their glass into plates, beads, boxes, or Christmas tree ornaments. Students cut their teeth on introductory classes that teach fusing and studio safety, then graduate to more advanced skills such as torch work and marble making. The expansive facility also offers 68 hours of open studio time each week, where graduates of introductory classes return to further their education with more classes or create independent projects with free use of the facilities, tools, and instruction books made entirely of stained glass.
