Only strange thing is the date i go to the restaurant vs the date shown on the credit card statement. These dates are almost always off, sometime before i was at the restaurant. The charge is valid and correct amount but dates are off. Only vendor ive experienced this with.

Maybe to have better choice of hot food. Like japanese style soups or bowl of noodle?

What You'll Get

Eating with chopsticks requires a certain level of dexterity, like beating a difficult video game or spitefully disassembling a too-difficult video game. Conquer your hunger with this Groupon.

$10 for $20 Worth of Sushi and Japanese Cuisine

The menu includes items such as a Red Bull roll with salmon, cucumber, and red snapper ($11.90); a King roll with deep-fried shrimp, cream cheese, and soy paper ($12.90); and a Swan roll with super-white tuna, tempura flakes, and eel sauce ($13.90). Though not valid with this Groupon, Arata also features happy hour specials every Monday through Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., including half off appetizers and $1 off all house rolls and nigiri. They also will soon be adding lunch hours with a separate menu in addition to their current dinner hours.

Arata Sushi

Shiny golden spheres congregate by a cozy fireplace inside Arata Sushi's dining room. Though they're attached to the wall, they seem to drift across space like tiny suns or undersea bubbles. Perhaps they're an homage to the fish that comprise the restaurant's colorful sushi lineup, which the Courier-Journal has dubbed "highly imaginative." In the kitchen, chefs whorl fresh seafood with rice and veggies to form more than 45 types of maki. Several rolls, such as the Cardinal, showcase fruits such as kiwis and strawberries alongside savory ingredients such as fried shrimp and cream cheese. At the bar, diners can sip wine and sake while watching the chefs slice bright-orange salmon and tuna as red as a comet wearing a clown nose.
