As spring weather inspires pantry items and refrigerables to jump from their confines and spoil in the sun, preparing a home-cooked meal becomes increasingly difficult. Today's Groupon gives you a break from chasing after your grains and produce. For $20, you get $40 worth of classy dining options and wine at Arbor Ridge Vine & Grill in Crestwood. Celebrate date night, family night, or family-dating night with sultry wines and West Coast–Mediterranean fusion recipes tasty enough to woo the neighbors across the street. Reservations are required.

Arbor Ridge Vine & Grill boasts a pleasant atmosphere, where couples and familial clans can imagine themselves in the shade of vineyards that whisper helpful wine suggestions to thirsty ears. Saunter to the bottle-side of a 2008 Canyon Road cabernet sauvignon ($21) or a 2007 Glen Ellen white zinfandel from the Sonoma Valley ($15.95) before perusing a dinner menu of savory fare. The romance of mutual eating can be experienced as you and your date nibble opposing ends of mozzarella sticks ($4.95); sample the communal garden of a zucchini-and-red-pepper sandwich with grilled zukes, Parmesan, feta, oregano, and crushed pepper flakes ($8.75); or feed each other shrimp and grits accompanied by andouille sausage, yellow peppers, garlic, sweet onions, and jalapeños ($14.95).

For those whose brunch cupboards are running on empty, Sunday brunch welcomes the morning-noon likes of steak and eggs with hash browns and toast ($9.95), and stuffed potatoes stacked with scrambled eggs, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar, and chives ($6.50).

You must order food with any drink purchase.

Reviews

Louisville Hot Bytes praises Arbor Ridge Vine & Grill's alluring ambience, and the Courier-Journal applauds the restaurant's edibles, especially the crab cakes:

  • These were rich, perfectly seared lump-meat crab cakes boldly seasoned with a classic spice mix that popped me in the nose with the aromas of bay leaves and mustard, ginger and celery seed. – Marty Rosen, Courier Journal
  • Once we got there, though, the cool, earth-toned ambiance, artful lighting and vineyard paintings elevated the classy shopping center space, as well as my mood. Friendly service and an attractively chosen wine list (hence the “Vine” in the restaurant’s name) provided quick relaxation while we talked, sipped and waited for our food...Fried Kalamata olives “sinfully stuffed” with blue cheese were just as described: a dozen salty bites, small black Greek olives with a dab of blue cheese, an unexpected flavor explosion, batter-fried in a thin, crisp and brown coat. – Robin Garr, Louisville Hot Bytes

OpenTable users give Arbor Ridge Vine & Grill four stars, and a lone Citysearcher gives it five. 85% of more than 100 Urbanspooners recommend it:

  • The selections of wine offer the right complement to your meal and the desserts are out of this world. – Sherrie, Urbanspoon
  • We go here when we are looking for good wine, a quiet atmosphere and unique food. Appropriate for a family dinner, but fancy enough for a romantic date as well. – OpenTable user who dined on 12/31/2009
