About Arizona Pupusas Festival
A handmade corn tortilla stuffed with meat, cheese and beans, the pupusa is the national food of El Salvador. It is beloved to such a degree that the Salvadoran government declared the second Sunday in November as the National Day of Pupusa. But to get a taste of these treats won't require booking tickets; that's where the Arizona Pupusa Festival comes in.
With a variety of vendors, the festival offers a cornucopia of options to try the pupusa. As festival-goers snack, live music and games create an upbeat atmosphere. And the food options don't just stop at the star. Typical agua frescas, like horchata or tamarindo, help folks wash down snacks, and they can follow it with rich and tasty desserts.
