Armageddon Ambush - Opa-locka: Regular or VIP Race Registration on Saturday, January 19 or Sunday, January 20 to Armageddon Ambush (Up to 57% Off)

Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races and fun runs are measured in kilometers and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $39 for regular race registration with a T-shirt, goggles, race bib, and post-race beer on Saturday, January 19 or Sunday, January 20 (up to a $90.67 value, including all fees)
  • $59 for VIP race registration with the above amenities and VIP parking, VIP check-in, a one-year subscription to ESPN Magazine, and two bags of powder paint (up to a $127.59 value, including all fees)

During the 5K Armageddon Ambush mud run, participants scramble over more than 10 obstacles, such as 12-foot-high walls, and battle elements such as wind and fire as they test their endurance and strength. Intermittently, race organizers and spectators will hurl eco-friendly colored powder at runners in fun and unexpected color ambushes. Throughout the day, participants gather for a party, which pulsates with beats from DJs and live bands and features beer and food from local vendors. In addition to cash prizes for top finishers, Miami Dolphin memorabilia and other giveaways will be awarded throughout the day. Participants 18 and older are grouped in five divisions according to age group.

Armageddon Ambush

In an effort to banish the long waiting lines and spread-out obstacles of other mud runs, the organizers of Armageddon Ambush, The Extreme Mud Run, have designed a fun and unique competition that is extreme and unpredictable with more than 15 professionally constructed obstacles built by licensed contractors, including climbing walls and tire pits. To keep things unpredictably colorful, they also set up powdered color ambushes throughout the course. An after-party with beer, food, and live music offers participants an opportunity to dance off the mixture of mud and paint, a much more fun alternative to showering and a much safer one than rolling around on a cop's freshly washed squad car. (However, washing off is also available.)
