The Armed Forces Military Museum sprawls over 35,000 square feet, displaying more than a dozen permanent exhibits along with military vehicles, artifacts, and memorabilia. Audio and visual special effects accompany exhibits that include replicas of trenches from World War I and German village outposts that allow patrons to peer through time without helping a gypsy move. Take in eyefuls of Pearl Harbor artifacts before experiencing the multimedia thrills of the Virtual Voyager X. Whirling sights and sounds surround riders in the ride's 10 different scenarios that emulate voyages such as a Desert Storm airstrike, a trip through a volcanic mine, and exploration of a haunted castle.

An annual Patriotic membership affords cardholders unlimited admission to the museum, a 10% discount at the museum store, and piggyback rides from Uncle Sam.

The Armed Forces History Museum

Spread across 50,000 square feet, the Armed Forces History Museum's collection boasts rare military vehicles, re-creations of historic battlefields, and artifacts with a militaristic purview that spans from WWI through current conflicts. Smoke machines and battlefield sound effects simulate the fog of war in a replica WWI trench and a Japanese battleship flight deck. A motion-simulation theater hydraulically emulates pitch and yaw as passengers' eyes alight with scenes from the Battle of Iwo Jima or Operation Desert Storm.

In the open terrain behind the museum, a fully functional WWII-era M8 armored vehicle seats four passengers in its turret and open-air compartments as it rumbles off-road for a quick thrill ride.

We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and could have stayed longer except for the fact that they were closing! It is quite enjoyable, informative, displays were amazing and staff very friendly!

A small yet well arranged museum. My family and I took a ride in the military vehicle. It was a little bumpy and jerky but it made you realize what it must be like for soldiers over a long distance during a war.
