Art is the eternal pursuit of truth, often led by a bloodthirsty pack of feral muses. Enjoy the spoils of the chase with today's Groupon: for $5, you get two tickets to the Art Gallery of Sudbury (up to a $10 value), located on John Street.
Housed in The Bell Mansion, former home to lumber baron William J. Bell, the gallery exhibits contemporary works of art embodying local history. Two exhibits—Hadyn Butler Enlightened Portraits, and Seduced by Clay—run through February 27 and put a modern spin on the traditional mediums of stained glass and pottery. Hadyn Butler brings the oft-lofty subject matter of stained glass down to earth with his portraits of common people, and Seduced by Clay showcases a variety of pottery, such as a man-eating stiletto teapot.
