Q:

This sounds like such fun with one of my grandchildren. One question: after we paint it, how long does it take to be ready to take home? I'm 25 min. away so would hate to have to drive the hour back another day, but I could do that. And it's only one Groupon per visit, right? I can't buy two and have $80 to use on various pieces we both might make. Thanks for answering!

Hi Linda, The Groupon is for 2 or more people at a time. So if there were 4 people coming in you could use both. To fire the finished pieces it usually takes 7-10 days and we call you when they are ready. If you would like we can ship you pieces to you for an additional shipping cost. Shipping depends on the size of the pieces. We are looking forward to seeing you. Thank you, Krisa

Q:

Are there only specific times and days that you honor the groupon deal? When is the best times for a couple of adults to come in (no party - just to paint)

Elizabeth O.  asked on  Feb 26, 2013

A:

Hi Elizabeth, We are open Tues-Fri. 10am-6pm and Sat/Sun 11am-6pm. Closed on Monday's. You can come in anytime we are open for the Groupon. We generally have parties on the weekends and we are fairly busy. You can always call ahead a time to see if there is a party scheduled. Thank and we look forward to seeing you. Krisa

Q:

Ok, so it sounds like you "use it or lose it" with the Groupon - in other words, if the pottery is $20 and the firing is $8, for a total of $28, then I would forfeit the $12? If that is so, maybe I would be better off putting the two pieces on the Groupon, run the balance to zero and then applying any overage to the Gift Certificate? I am thinking that if there is a balance left on the Gift Certificate that I will not lose it... can you verify this? Lastly, is there an expiry date on the Groupon or Gift Certificates? We've had it for a while - thought you closed because we didn't see the shop in Ridgefield anymore - but noticed you moved to Georgetown? :-) Thanks so much for clarifying all of this! We want to come and paint it but need to make sure it will work and we don't want any surprises!

Hi Carolyn, Sure, no problem. The Groupon is really for two or more people. In which case there would be an $8 studio fee for each painter plus the cost of their pieces. So let's say they each pick a piece that is $20, it's $28 for each of them, totaling the bill to $56 plus tax. They can paint more than one piece. The studio fee is a one time charge per visit per painter, not per piece. So they can each paint 2 pieces plus the $8 studio fee each. I would use the Groupon first because that will expire after 3 months. I will honor the gift card, even if it's fairly old, this way they can use it toward their balance. I just really want you guys to come in and have fun. That is what we are all about!. Hope to see you soon, Krisa

Q:

Fantastic! One of my children has a gift certificate from Art on Fire :-) another would like to also paint something. Can they both go - one using the gift certificate and the other using a Groupon? Can I use the total amount on both the certificate and Groupon towards the total fees? Lastly, would the studio fee of $8 be applied once or twice if they go together? Thanks!

Carolyn P.  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Hi Carolyn, Yes, I will honor both the gift card and Groupon. If they both paint they will both be charge the $8 studio fee. The fee is to cover the paint and firing costs. FYI, if they don't use the total cost of both I will not be able to refund you any of the difference.

Q:

Is there a minimum age for kids who can participate? And when are the walk-in hours (other than organized classes)? I do not see them listed on the website. Thanks!

Marlene B.  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Hi Marlene, Walk-ins are welcome anytime during our normal business hours. Tuesday - Friday 10am-6pm and Sat/Sun 11am - 6pm. We are closed on Mondays unless it's a holiday when school is closed. Then I like to be open that Monday. I usually list it on our website. As far as a minimum age, I really depends on the child and their attention span, but I would say 3 years is a good minimum age. Hope to see you soon.

Q:

What does it mean that the pottery painting is "for Two or More"? If I wanted to paint a bowl, for example, that costs $30 and the studio fee is $8, how would that work? What would the Groupon pay for and would I owe anything? Exactly what is covered and what isn't? Thank you.

Carolyn P.  asked on  Feb 25, 2013

A:

Hi There, "for Two or More" would be two or more painters. If you would like to come in by yourself and paint a $30 piece plus the $8 studio fee, it would be $38 plus tax. I would honor it. You would just pay whatever was over the $40 mark. Hope to see you soon.
