Creating a masterwork of art can be like wandering through a maze: after a lengthy period of reflection and contemplation, you’ll still probably starve. Appreciate the figurative risks and transcendent joys of artistic creativity with today’s Groupon to Art On The Ridge. Choose between two options:

  • For $42, you get a five-week drop-in punch card for adult sketching or tots' (ages 2-6) art classes (a $90 value).
  • For $70, you get a six-week children's (ages 7-15) sculpture class (a $150 value).

Groupon holders also get 10% off of any art-gallery purchases.

Connecting the Seattle community with the joys of art, Art On The Ridge houses a gallery, resource library, and open studio. Amiable and experienced artists teach classes for children and adults in a variety of mediums. Students are educated on the history and movements involved with each style before channeling creative energy into class pieces in lieu of misunderstood bumper stickers. Children's classes provide spirited structure, exercise the imagination, and hone essential skills in problem solving. The adult drawing-and-sketching course teaches a wealth of time-honored techniques while exploring the use of pencils, watercolors, and pastels.

Monahan Studio

Monahan Studio's philosophy revolves around encouragement: anyone can create art, and should have fun doing it. Drawing and painting classes for adults fuel creativity, whereas children’s sessions cover everything from paper collage to sculpture. Private lessons pair students with an instructor who customizes a project to the client's ability level and speed. Illustration services are also available for traditional publishers and self-publishing authors.
