What You'll Get
Creating a masterwork of art can be like wandering through a maze: after a lengthy period of self-reflection and contemplation, you’ll still probably starve. Appreciate the figurative risks and transcendent joys of artistic creativity with today’s Groupon: for $39, you get a two-hour Paint Dancing class (an $80 value) at Art Rebel in Sherman Oaks. The first and third Friday of each month, Art Rebel hosts Paint Dancing, a hybrid of freestyle dancing and creative canvas embellishment appropriate for dancers and painters of any skill level. With paintbrush-wielding arms akimbo, it's recommended students bring paint clothes, but all other art materials will be provided. With its bright colors and airy lighting, Art Rebel's studio will allow creativity to run wild, oozing out of students' hands and forming puddles on the floor. A portion of the proceeds go to help local charities.

About Art Rebel
"One man's trash is another man's treasure" may be an overused saying to some, but to Art Rebel's crew of painters, it's a mantra. The instructors believe in dreaming up creative solutions to help the environment, and that includes teaching their students how to transform discarded items into masterpieces during eco-art classes. Nontoxic, eco-friendly paints grace paper and canvases in a variety of sessions with different themes, from graffiti-art to cartooning. Elsewhere, beautification meets youth outreach when Art Rebel's team teaches children how to paint public works and encrust their favorite foursquare court with bottle caps.
