With a combined 60 years of experience making stained-glass art, ArtGlass Unlimited owners Karen Story and Judy Stanczyk bestow their wealth of knowledge upon students during fun, creative classes. The two-hour glass-fusing class allows nascent artisans to create four pieces of dichroic glass, a multilayered variety often used in jewelry and three-dimensional renderings of The Scream. Customers learn the ins and outs of the fusing process, constructing material that can be transformed into pins, pendants, and wine-bottle stoppers. Students can choose to finish one piece of their choice, though more necklaces and bottle stoppers will be available for an additional cost. The kiln-fired pieces will be ready after three to five business days.
Throughout the session, provided beverages pair with a smattering of snacks to facilitate creativity by silencing distracting tummy grumbles. Like most sunrises, classes run at least once a week on weekdays and weekends. Call on or after January 1 to make a reservation.

About ArtGlass Unlimited
Sunlight glints off the multihued dinner plates and stained glass lamps inside ArtGlass Unlimited, a local glassware emporium that’s made inimitable glass pieces since 1982. On top of these creations, the onsite artists build commissioned glasswork for local businesses and opera singers looking to gauge their high notes. They also helm classes in glass art, guiding students through creating their own masterpieces, from stained glass windows to pendants, beads, and kiln-fired jewelry.
