Local artists helm each two-hour Ladies’ Night Out workshop, providing participants with step-by-step guidance through activities including pottery painting, glass fusing, or ceramics. As guests unleash their inner creativity, they can sip libations and chow down on snacks they’ve brought along to bolster the workshop’s celebratory atmosphere.
Independent study workshops grant teens and adults the chance to hone their individual approach to artistic expression via a hands-on studio session. Instructors introduce pupils to a variety of drawing and painting mediums while helping them develop perceptual skills. Topics covered throughout the three-hour session include artistic essentials such as the study of light and shadow, visual perspective, and paint handling.
Held Mondays through Fridays throughout the summer, the Fun with Art summer program introduces kids ages 6–16 to a variety of artistic styles. Each day of camp is broken down into lessons wherein professional artists teach a different medium such as mosaics, sculpture, and printmaking.
To Artistic Way’s team of experienced instructors, a community touched by art becomes a stronger, healthier community. Keeping this philosophy in mind, the staff seeks to unleash the shrink-zapped Monets living in artists of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds via a host of programs that encourage self-expression. Professional artists helm art classes for kids and adults alike, and an ever-changing roster of workshops includes BYOB ladies’ nights and opportunities for intensive independent study. Creative endeavours such as mosaic making and sculpture ensure that Artistic Way’s summer and winter camps capture youngsters’ imaginations, preventing boredom or bouts of nostalgic pencil sharpening. While specializing in painting and drawing, Artistic Way also offers make-your-own jewellery, ceramics, and glass sessions, and a school of animation combines art and entertainment.
