Though everyone likes the look of a glossy loved one, few can afford human lamination. Make memories shine the sensible way with today’s Groupon: for $39, you get an outdoor photo shoot and a CD containing 5 to 10 professionally edited high-resolution images from ArtLife Studios (a $300 value). The photo shoot lasts one to two hours and must take place within Miami city limits.

Helmed by Jannette Oliva, a professional photographer trained at Florida International University, ArtLife Studios captures clients’ best moments and miens on digital film. Instead of ordering a new driver’s license every three seconds for the next five years, Groupon holders spend one to two hours frolicking in the great outdoors as Oliva snaps candid shots with her professional camera. Oliva’s style swings based on her clients' needs, and oft directs creative poses inspired by fine art, photojournalism, and famous ice-dancing performances.

Postshoot, Oliva transforms 5-10 shots into high-res images fit for printing or spreading throughout the web. This touch-up process takes approximately two weeks, and clients retain the rights to their photos, preventing their faces from appearing on freshly minted $3 bills.

About ArtLife Studios, Inc

“We don’t get to stage the moments that mean the most to us in life,” Jannette Oliva of ArtLife Studios says on her website. “The best ones are the moments that were least expected.” With that as her guiding principle, she captures couples and families in candid moments rife with real emotion, acting more like a photojournalist than a portraitist. A believer in the power of images from a young age, Jannette followed her passion through high school, eventually graduating from Florida International University. With the winds of success in her sails and the urban landscape of Miami as her backdrop, she encourages her clients to have fun while she takes high-resolution shots of kisses, hugs, and familial half nelsons. During each shoot, she adeptly uses natural lighting, holding most of her sessions in the morning or evening in order to make use of the flattering, romantic, gauzy light that results from the sun’s flirtation with the horizon. Back in her studio, she deftly edits photos, smoothing out skin blemishes and correcting color.
