Join Miami-based jazz group Nestor Zurita Quintet for a live concert featuring music by Zurita that was influenced by his Cuban and Ecuadorian heritage. The tunes in The Light at the End of the Tunnel are dedicated to the struggle immigrants go through when coming to the United States. Growing up, Zurita often heard stories from his parents and grandparents of leaving everything behind to find a better life. With the current political climate, this music is a great reminder that we are all citizens of the world first and foremost. Hear this quintet combine sax, percussion, bass, drums and piano at Arts at St. Johns.
VIP ticketholders are invited to a pre-show reception.
