Tiny cakes, like babies, are smaller, cuter, and more tempting to nibble on. Indulge your maternal/carnivoral instincts with today's Groupon: for $30, you get two-dozen two-bite cake squares or three-dozen one-bite petit fours at Aston's Bakery (a $63 value). There is a two-day minimum notice on all orders, so call ahead to reserve your treats.
Aston’s family-run bakery has offered up delectable sweets since 1931, and D magazine voted their tiny treats Best Petit Fours in 2005. Choose from either moist chocolate cake with chocolate icing, or delectable white cake with white icing. You can also split flavors for an order of half chocolate and half white, but can’t mix and match petit fours and cake squares. Unlike confections iced in the likeness of Robin Williams, these tiny treats are as pretty as they are tasty, with several decorative options in your choice of colors: a decorative rosebud, religious holiday symbols, a single initial, or baby booties and rattles.
Each bite bouquet is made-to-order and baked from scratch every morning, so expect fresh frosting and perfectly squishy cake. The tender treats from Aston’s Bakery make appropriate edible party gifts or one-at-a-time desserts, sweetening an evening without having to take a decadent yet drain-clogging cake-batter bath. Aston’s is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Not good for walk-in purchases.

- I love Aston’s Bakery they have the best petit fours in all of Texas I give Aston’s 5 stars! – Austin
- We’ve had so many cakes in my family from there for about 40 years, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Champagne Cake is killer. Texas Pecan whenever we have yankee visitors, 7 layer yellow with chocolate cakes for birthdays. OMG I just had the chiffon-carrot cake and italian cream and her petit fours at a shower. I’m gonna be 1000 pounds if I don’t stop. – Ddnoodles
