Ang Li started playing piano by ear at age 1, going on to make her public debut at Beijing Concert Hall at age 6. Now, at age 30, Li's undoubtedly one of the world's top classical pianists -- she's won the Van Cliburn Competition, performed on five continents, and played at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. Currently in her second year as the first-ever artist in residence at ASU's Kerr Cultural Center, the accomplished young musician will perform a program that includes pieces suggested by her Scottsdale audience.
