Engaging entertainer Cheryse McLeod Lewis traces the history of inspirational American music with Then Sings My Soul, a cabaret concert that's set to showcase uplifting songs from a wide range of genres, from Broadway and jazz to spiritual and art songs. With her training and background in opera, the award-winning mezzo-soprano has forged a successful career as a classical performer, but her voice resonates in every genre. Along with favorites like "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel and "Somewhere" from West Side Story, she'll sing traditional tunes including "Ride On King Jesus," "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" and more, when she takes the stage at ASU Kerr Center, accompanied on select songs by the Saguaro High School Advanced Vocal Ensemble.
