The Chicago Arts Orchestra celebrates the Hispanic heritage that has enriched so many Americans and so much of American life. ¡Musica Viva! will be the opening concert of the orchestra’s 10th anniversary season, and also part of Chicago’s Latino Music Festival. Javier José Mendoza leads the concert at the Athenaeum Theatre, featuring a variety of festive works by Latin American composers including Blas Galindo, Arturo Márquez, José Pablo Moncayo and Chicago’s own Elbio Barilari. The CAO is made up of professional musicians with active performance schedules in Chicago.
